Question: How do Turkish people feel about the violence between Uighur Turks & Han Chinese in China’s Xinjiang province?

Naturally they are pro-Uygur. The problem here is not how Turkish people feel about it, but how the western world is reacting to the situation.
We all know that China is now USA’s most favored nation in trade. Therefore, Obama administration does not want to criticize China. EU on the other hand, is too busy with its petty internal problems and with inventing new daily obstacles for Turkey’s EU accession. They don’t care much how many Uygurs are murdered by the Chinese party dictatorship. Such is the western hypocrisy. However, if an American, or German, or Frenchman gets hurt in China, they will start protesting.
Question: How do you feel about Turkish people?
Do you like them? If yes, why do you like them?
Do you dislike them? If yes why?
OR
Do you think it’s not about nationality it’s about the person?
What do you think Turks feel about United States? Do you think Turks like the US. If yes why? If no why?
I’m only curious. I wanna learn what other people think.
Thanks in advance.

Question: To which neighbor country do Turkish people feel closer to ?
Me as a Greek I feel closer to Turkish people, what about Turkish people ?
Answer:
Answer by Weltenbummler
That is a very difficult question because there are quite a number of different ethnic groups in Turkey who have different feeling of being closer to others. For example there are some ethnic groups that live partly in Turkey and partly in Iraq. They for sure feel very close to one another, while people closer to the Greek border feel more attached to the Greek than to those living in Iraq. Another part are those living overseas, e.g. some million Turkish nationals in Germany. While some of them feel attached to Germany, many still don’t despite living there partially since decades. Reason is that they live isolated and still did not care to even learn some basic language, leaving alone the interest in any cultural integration.
